About Ancestral Canada
We are a records research service for families with Canadian roots.
ANCESTRAL Canada helps people with Canadian ancestry find and organize the official records that document their family line. For many families, proving a connection to a Canadian ancestor means producing a chain of birth, baptism, marriage and death records, each one naming the parent or spouse that links one generation to the next. We search the archives that hold these records, order certified copies, translate French-language documents from Québec and elsewhere, and request official “no record” letters when a record is missing or was never made.
This service is for Canadians and their descendants living abroad, people who already know they have Canadian roots and now need the paperwork to prove it, and families who have started a citizenship or sponsorship application and been told they need more evidence. Whether you have a few names and dates or nothing more than a family story, we meet you where you are and build from there.
ANCESTRAL Canada is built and operated from Canada by a small team that has spent years working with parish registers, civil registration, census schedules and provincial archives. We are not a law firm, we don’t give legal or immigration advice, and we are not affiliated with the Government of Canada. We do the records work, and you take the finished file to the licensed Canadian lawyer or consultant of your choice.
